The reality is that the best family entertainment doesn’t work that way at all.
Some of the most memorable events we’ve ever performed at have been family events where the adults were laughing just as hard as the children. In fact, one of our favourite things about performing at festivals, community events and school holiday activations is watching entire families become part of the experience together.

Parents are juggling work, school schedules and family commitments. Children are growing up surrounded by screens, notifications and endless distractions. Even when families are together, it can sometimes feel like everyone is focused on something different.
That’s why live entertainment still matters.
There is something powerful about hundreds of people experiencing the same moment at the same time. A crowd holding its breath during an aerial performance. An unexpected laugh during a comedy routine. A child turning around to see their parents laughing just as much as they are.

At one event, the audience might respond most strongly to visual circus skills and spectacular moments. At another, it might be the audience interaction and comedy that creates the biggest reactions.
Being able to read a crowd and adjust accordingly is one of the most important skills any live performer can have.

When we perform at family events, our goal isn’t simply to fill time or provide a distraction.
We want to create moments that people genuinely remember.

Why We Love Family Events
As performers, we’ve had the opportunity to work in many different environments, from cruise ships and theatres to corporate functions and major festivals.
Yet family events remain some of our favourites.
There’s an honesty to family audiences that you don’t always find elsewhere. Children react immediately and genuinely. Parents appreciate entertainment that engages the entire family. Communities come together around shared experiences.
It reminds us why we started performing in the first place.
Not just to demonstrate skills.
